Explanation of Responses:
1. Pursuant to the 2017 Grantor Retained Annuity Trust (GRAT), of which reporting person is trustee, 20,134 shares of the GRAT was distributed as a gift to the irrevocable trust for the benefit of the reporting person's children, of which the reporting person is the Trustee. See footnote 2 below.
2. These shares include 20,134 shares referenced in footnote 1 above and are held in an irrevocable trust for the benefit of the reporting person's chidren. The reporting person is trustee of this trust.
3. $147.6579 is the weighted average sales price. Prices for this transaction ranged from $148.335 to $147.335. The Reporting Person undertakes to provide upon request by the Commission staff, the issuer or a security holder of the issuer, full information regarding the number of shares sold at each separate price.
4. $147.0354 is the weighted average sales price. Prices for this transaction ranged from $147.3275 to $146.00. The Reporting Person undertakes to provide upon request by the Commission staff, the issuer or a security holder of the issuer, full information regarding the number of shares sold at each separate price.
5. $145.9825 is the weighted average sales price. Prices for this transaction ranged from $145.9825 to $145.0275. The Reporting Person undertakes to provide upon request by the Commission staff, the issuer or a security holder of the issuer, full information regarding the number of shares sold at each separate price.
6. Includes shares acquired under the Motorola Solutions Employee Stock Purchase Plan and through the reinvestment of dividends. Also includes 18,111 shares previously held in the 2017-1 GRATand 9,420 shares previously held in the 2018-1 GRAT but which were distributed as an annuity to the insider in accordance with the GRAT's terms upon its expiration since the insider's last filed report. Additionally, includes 526.7046 shares which were previously inadvertently omitted due to an administrative error.
7. These shares are held in an irrevocable trust for the benefit of the reporting person's wife and children. The reporting person's wife is trustee of this trust.
