During the 39 weeks ended September 30, 2021, pursuant to a recapitalization of a joint venture whose investment value was $0 as of December 31, 2020, the Company surrendered its ownership interest in this equity method investment. Also during the 39 weeks ended September 30, 2021, the Company sold its interest in an equity investment without a readily determinable fair value for $4,150,000 and recorded a gain of $2,079,000, which is included in gain (loss) on disposition of property, equipment and other assets in the consolidated statement of earnings (loss).
