DEFINED BENEFIT PENSION PLANS
The following table sets forth the net periodic pension cost for our defined benefit pension and postretirement plans during the quarter ended March 31, 2018 and 2017. In accordance with ASU 2017-07, "Retirement Benefits - Improving the Presentation of Net Periodic Pension Cost and Net Periodic Postretirement Benefit Cost" (an amendment to ASC 715), all non-service related costs associated with our pension and post retirement plans are recorded outside of operating income. During the three months ended March 31, 2018, we made $0.7 million in pension contributions to our defined benefit pension plans. We expect to contribute between $10.0 million and $12.0 million to our defined benefit pension plans in the remaining months of 2018.
