Note 4. Inventories

Inventories, net of allowances, at June 30, 2014 and 2013 consisted of the following:

During the fiscal years ended June 30, 2014, 2013 and 2012, the Company recorded provisions for excess and obsolete inventory of $2.9 million, $876 thousand and $1.7 million, respectively. The reserve for excess and obsolete inventory was $2.4 million and $2.0 million at June 30, 2014 and 2013, respectively.
