INCOME TAXES	10. INCOME TAXES The effective income tax rate was 35.5% and 34.5% for the first quarters of 2013 and 2012, respectively. The 2013 effective income tax rate differed from the federal statutory rate primarily due to the effect of state income taxes. The 2012 effective income tax rate differed from the federal statutory rate primarily due to the favorable resolution of certain tax issues, partially offset by the effect of state income taxes.
