Subsequent Events [Text Block]	SUBSEQUENT EVENTS Subsequent to September 30, 2022, EastGroup acquired 60.9 acres of development land in Atlanta for approximately $5.6 million. The Company has future plans to construct five buildings totaling approximately 750,000 square feet. Also subsequent to September 30, 2022, the Company closed on the acquisition of 87.5 acres of development land in Austin for approximately $30.1 million. The Company has future plans to construct seven buildings totaling approximately 1,007,000 square feet.
