Subsequent Events [Text Block]	SUBSEQUENT EVENTS Subsequent to quarter-end, EastGroup closed the acquisition of 29 acres of development land in San Antonio for $3 million. The land is expected to accommodate the future development of four buildings totaling 370,000 square feet; the Company anticipates initiating the first phase of development on this land in 2019.
