On April 23, 2008, Husky Energy Inc. issued a press release announcing the appointment of Mr. Alister Cowan as Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Husky Oil Operations Limited. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit A.

Husky Appoints Chief Financial Officer

Calgary, Alberta – Mr. John C.S. Lau, President & Chief Executive Officer, Husky Energy Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Alister Cowan as Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Husky Oil Operations Limited effective April 28, 2008.

Prior to his appointment with Husky, Mr. Cowan held executive positions in the energy and utilities sectors, most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for BC Hydro based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Mr. Cowan is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Finance from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Husky Energy is a Canadian-based integrated energy and energy-related company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. Husky Energy is publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol HSE.
