Environmental	Environmental We expensed $46.1 million, $14.0 million and $(0.6) million for the years ended December 31, 2012, 2011 and 2010, respectively, for environmental remediation obligations. In 2012, we increased certain environmental cost accruals to reflect revisions to certain cost estimates and the timeframe for which certain environmental remediation and monitoring activities are expected to occur. The accrued environmental liability reflected in our consolidated balance sheets was $88.9 million and $42.2 million at December 31, 2012 and 2011, respectively, of which $72.6 million and $31.7 million, respectively, were classified as other long-term liabilities. These accruals include remediation and monitoring costs expected to be incurred over an extended period of time (up to 30 years for certain projects). They also include $15.6 million in environmental liabilities that were assumed upon our merger with Frontier in 2011.

The entire disclosure for environmental loss contingencies, such as presence of hazardous waste, relevant information from reports issued by regulators, and estimated costs to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements. This element may be used for all of an entity's disclosures about environmental loss contingencies.
