Severance Costs	7. Severance Costs In the third quarter of 2020, we recognized a charge of $27 million, and made payments of $11 million, for employee termination benefits incurred related to cost reduction initiatives. The charge is reported in Operating costs and expenses ($20 million), General and administrative expenses ($6 million) and Exploration expenses, including dry holes and lease impairment ($1 million) in the Statement of Consolidated Income. Accrued employee termination benefits of $16 million at September 30, 2020 are expected to be largely paid by the end of the year.
