On December 17, 2007, Joseph M. Gingo, Executive Vice President, Quality Systems and Chief Technical Officer, advised The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (the "Company") that he was retiring from the Company effective December 31, 2007 to become President and Chief Executive Officer of A. Schulman Inc.

On December 19, 2007, the Company announced that Jean-Claude Kihn, currently General Director of the Company's Technical Center in Akron, will be appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer, effective January 1, 2008.
