Loss on Extinguishment of Debt

For the three and six months ended June 30, 2015, the Company recorded $3,190,000 and $38,344,000, respectively, as loss on extinguishment of debt. For the three and six months ended June 30, 2014, the Company recorded $714,000 and $878,000, respectively, as loss on extinguishment of debt. The loss on extinguishment of debt recorded for 2015 primarily relates to the February and March 2015 separate, privately negotiated exchange transactions involving a portion of the Company’s 2016, 2018 and 2020 Senior Notes.
