Item 1.01.   Entry Into A Material Definitive Agreement

 

On February 24, 2009, Florida Public Utilities Company (the “Company”) entered into two separate agreements with Inergy Propane, LLC., providing for the Company to prebuy from Inergy certain specified amounts of propane each month from March 1, 2009 through February 28, 2010 at a fixed per gallon price. The total volume of propane covered by the agreements is expected to be approximately 1,500,000 gallons. The Company has purchased propane from Inergy in the past.
