21. Transactions with Related Parties

From time to time, an engineering firm owned by Tavit Najarian, a relative of Ara K. Hovnanian, our Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, provides services to the Company. During the three months ended April 30, 2024 and 2023, the services provided by such engineering firm to the Company totaled $0.3 million and $0.4 million, respectively. During the six months ended April 30, 2024 and 2023, the services provided by such engineering firm to the Company totaled $0.6 million and $0.8 million, respectively. Neither the Company nor Mr. Hovnanian has a financial interest in the relative’s company from whom the services were provided.
