Industry and Geographic Information
The Company operates in one reportable segment. Sales to customers outside the U.S. represented $21.6 million (13%) and $23.1 million (17%) of total revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2017 and 2016, respectively. As of September 30, 2017 and December 31, 2016, balances due from foreign customers were $4.7 million and $6.8 million, respectively.

As of September 30, 2017 and December 31, 2016, accounts receivable from customers with balances due in excess of 10% of total accounts receivable totaled $34.2 million and $13.9 million, respectively.
