  On December 12, 2005, the Company extended its license agreement with Novavax, Inc. for an additional ten years for $1 million. This extension entitles the Company to the exclusive use of the Novasome® lipid vesicle encapsulation and certain other technologies (each a “Microencapsulation Technology”, and collectively, the “Technologies”) in the fields of (i) animal pharmaceuticals, biologicals and other animal health products; (ii) foods, food applications, nutrients and flavorings; (iii) cosmetics, consumer products and dermatological over-the-counter and prescription products (excluding certain topically delivered hormones); (iv) fragrances; and (v) chemicals, including herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, paints and coatings, photographic chemicals and other specialty chemicals, and the processes for making the same (collectively, the “IGI Field”) through 2015. This payment is being amortized ratably over the ten-year period. The Company recorded amortization expense of $25,000 related to this agreement for each of the three month periods ended March 31, 2015 and 2014. Remaining amortization of this license fee will amount to $75,000 in 2015.
