Item 5.02(d) Election of Director

On March 24, 2008 the Board of Directors of registrant Wind Energy America Inc. increased the size of its Board of Directors by one member and concurrently elected Paul R. Knapp, Sr. as a director of registrant. Since 1999, Mr. Knapp has been Chairman and CEO of Space Center Ventures LLC, a venture capital fund based in St. Paul/Minneapolis, which invests primarily in early stage Minnesota companies. He also currently serves as a director on the Board of Directors of Minneapolis-based Venture Bank.
