Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.

     On November 2, 2011, Dawson Geophysical Company (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it plans to publicly release its financial results for its fiscal year-end and the quarter ended September 30, 2011, the Company’s fourth quarter of fiscal 2011, before the market opens on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. In addition, the Company announced that an investors’ conference call to review the fourth quarter results will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at 9:00 a.m. Central Time.

     A copy of the press release is furnished as an exhibit to this Current Report.
