8.      CUSTOMER ADVANCES

On occasion, we require customers to make advance payments prior to the shipment of their orders in order to help finance our inventory investment on large orders or to keep customers’ credit limits at acceptable levels.  As of September 30, 2011 and December 31, 2010, customer advances totaled $2,756 and $1,531 respectively, and originated from several customers.
