NOTE 7 INVENTORIES

Inventories at September 30, 2021 and December 31, 2020 consisted of the following:

During the nine months ended September 30, 2021, the inventory at the Black Fox, Gold Bar, and El Gallo mines were written down to a net realizable value by $0.4 million, $1.4 million and $2.5 million, respectively. Of these write-downs, a total of $4.0 million (nine months ended September 30, 2020 – $2.6 million) was included in production costs applicable to sales and $0.3 million was included in depreciation and depletion (nine months ended September 30, 2020 - $0.5 million) in the Statement of Operations.
