Item 8.01 Other Event

Datascope Corp. issued a press release on June 6, 2007, announcing the closing of the acquisition of Artema Medical AB on June 5, 2007. Artema is a privately held Swedish manufacturer of proprietary gas analyzers, which identify and measure the concentration of anesthetic agents used during surgery.

A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and is incorporated herein by reference.
