The Company recognizes service revenue associated with the Vertex Research Service Agreement (the “Vertex Research Service Agreement”) over the performance period of the research services as the services are provided in accordance with ASC Topic 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers (“ASC Topic 606”).

During the three and nine months ended September 30, 2024, the Company recorded service revenue of $0.2 million and $0.9 million related to research activities performed in connection with the Vertex Research Service Agreement, respectively. During the three and nine months ended September 30, 2023, service revenue related to research activities performed in connection with the Vertex Research Service Agreement was not material.
