ITEM 7.01  REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE Chesapeake Corporation announced today that its year-over-year operating results, excluding special items, are expected to be somewhat lower than previous expectations resulting in 2007 operating income being slightly below the prior year.  The information contained in the press release, which is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report, is incorporated herein by reference.
