Cash Overdrafts And Cash Equivalents	12. Cash Overdrafts and Cash Equivalents Included in accounts payable at March 31, 2016 is cash overdrafts payable of $16.4 million (December 31, 2015 - $9.3 million). From time to time throughout the year, we invest excess cash in money market funds with major commercial banks. We closely monitor the creditworthiness of the institutions with which we invest our overnight funds. We had $595,000 in cash equivalents as of March 31, 2016. There was $76,000 in cash equivalents as of December 31, 2015. The weighted average rate of return for our cash equivalents was 0.40% at March 31, 2016 and 0.20% at December 31, 2015.

The entire disclosure for cash and cash equivalent footnotes, which may include the types of deposits and money market instruments, applicable carrying amounts, restricted amounts and compensating balance arrangements. Cash and equivalents include: (1) currency on hand (2) demand deposits with banks or financial institutions (3) other kinds of accounts that have the general characteristics of demand deposits (4) short-term, highly liquid investments that are both readily convertible to known amounts of cash and so near their maturity that they present insignificant risk of changes in value because of changes in interest rates. Generally, only investments maturing within three months from the date of acquisition qualify.
