Item 8.01. Other Events.

On August 16, 2022, Permex Petroleum Corporation (the “Company”) announced that the Company has received approval from the Railroad Commission of Texas on its permit application for drilling on the Company’s property in Martin County, Texas. The Railroad Commission of Texas reviewed and approved the Company’s request for well development rights between depths of 0 ft. and 11,100 ft. A copy of the press release announcing the approval for drilling is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1, and is incorporated by reference herein.
