Item 8.01 Other Events.

On September 28, 2022, LMF Acquisition Opportunities, Inc. (“LMAO”) issued a press release announcing that LMAO has filed a definitive proxy statement/prospectus with the SEC in connection with the previously announced proposed business combination (the “Business Combination”) contemplated by that certain Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated April 21, 2022, (the “Merger Agreement”) by and among LMAO, LMF Merger Sub, Inc., a Delaware corporation and wholly-owned subsidiary of LMAO (“Merger Sub”), and SeaStar Medical, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“SeaStar Medical”).

The press release announced that LMAO will hold a special meeting of LMAO’s stockholders on October 18, 2022 (the “Special Meeting”) at which LMAO’s stockholders as of the September 23, 2022 record date will vote on the proposed Business Combination and other related matters.  The Special Meeting will be held at LMAO’s office located at 1200 W. Platt St., Suite 100, Tampa, Florida 33606, on October 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
