On April 17, 2020, MSGE became a standalone publicly traded company following its spin-off from The Madison Square Garden Company, which was renamed Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. In connection with the spin-off, Madison Square Garden Investments, LLC, the entity that directly held the 3,208,139 shares of Townsquare Class A Common Stock as of such date, became an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of MSGE.
