On September 1, 2020, Ovintiv Inc. issued a news release announcing that its subsidiary, Ovintiv Canada ULC, has closed an agreement with PetroChina Canada Ltd. to terminate the parties’ joint venture and transfer the ownership and operation of certain Duvernay shale assets in west-central Alberta. A copy of the news release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
