(12) Employee Benefit Plan

The Company maintains a defined contribution 401(k) plan (the 401(k) Plan) in which employees may contribute a portion of their compensation, subject to statutory maximum contribution amounts. The Company assumes all administrative costs of the 401(k) Plan. For each of the three months ended March 31, 2020 and 2021, the expense relating to the matching contribution was less than $0.1 million.
