17. Common Stock Repurchases

On September 23, 2020, the board of directors of the Company authorized the repurchase of up to 136,879 shares of the Company’s outstanding common stock, which equals approximately 2.2% of all shares then outstanding and approximately 5.0% of the then outstanding shares owned by stockholders other than the MHC. The Company holds repurchased shares in its treasury. As of December 31, 2021 and 2020, the Company repurchased 78,433 and 25,476 shares of its common stock, respectively.
