Operating Leases

The Company leases certain of its branch facilities and office equipment under operating leases. Rental expense for these leases was $837,000, $770,000 and $596,000 for the years ended December 31, 2020, 2019, and 2018 respectively.

Future minimum rental commitments of branch facilities and office equipment due under non-cancelable operating leases at December 31, 2020, were as follows (dollars in thousands):
