Revenue from Contracts with Customers

The Company reports two segments: cannabis and hemp, in accordance with ASC 280 Segment Reporting. The Company generates revenues from the cannabis and hemp segments through contracts with customers, each with a single performance obligation, being the sale of products. The Company determines that revenue information disclosed in business segment information in Note 25 disaggregates revenue into categories that depict how the nature, amount, timing and uncertainty of revenue and cash flows are affected by economic factors.

For certain long-term arrangements, the Company has performance obligations for goods it has not yet delivered. For these arrangements, the Company does not have a right to bill for the undelivered goods. The Company has determined that any unbilled consideration relates entirely to the value of undelivered goods. Accordingly, the Company has not recognized revenue, and has elected not to disclose amounts, related to these undelivered goods. As of September 30, 2020 and December 31, 2019, other than accounts receivable, net of allowance for credit losses and provision for sales returns, the Company has no contract balances in the balance sheets.
