FINANCIAL HIGHLIGHTS 2018 • Total revenue of $103.2 million, compared to $99.3 million for the same quarter in 2017, an increase of 3.9%. Year-to-date, total revenue of $405.9 million, compared to $378.3 million for the same period in 2017, an increase of 7.3%. • Net income of $11.2 million, compared to a loss of $60.3 million for the same quarter in 2017. Year-to-date, net income of $29.3 million, compared to a loss of $8.6 million for the same period in 2017. • Adjusted EBITDA of $53.6 million, compared to $51.1 million for the same quarter in 2017. Adjusted EBITDA margin of 52.0%, compared to 51.4% for the same quarter in 2017. NON-GAAP FINANCIAL MEASURES To supplement Switch’s condensed consolidated financial statements, which are prepared and presented in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America (“GAAP”), Switch uses Adjusted EBITDA, Adjusted EBITDA margin, recurring revenue and net debt, which are non-GAAP measures, in this presentation. Switch defines Adjusted EBITDA as net income (loss) adjusted for interest expense, interest income, income taxes, depreciation and amortization of property and equipment and for specific and defined supplemental adjustments to exclude (i) non-cash equity-based compensation expense; (ii) equity in net earnings (losses) of investments; and (iii) certain other items that Switch believes are not indicative of its core operating performance. Switch defines Adjusted EBITDA margin as Adjusted EBITDA divided by revenue. Switch defines net debt as total debt outstanding, including capital lease obligations, net of cash and cash equivalents. The presentation of these financial measures is not intended to be considered in isolation or as a substitute for, or superior to, financial information prepared and presented in accordance with GAAP.
