Pursuant to Rule 461 under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, AIP Alternative Lending Fund A (the “Registrant”) hereby requests that the effective date of Post-Effective Amendment No. 2 to the Registration Statement on Form N-2 (the “Registration Statement”) be accelerated so that the Registration Statement may become effective at 3:00 pm, Eastern Time, on January 29, 2020, or as soon as practicable thereafter.
