ITEM 8.01.          Other Events.

On January 31, 2020, Computershare Limited, agent for Canadian Pacific Railway Limited (the "Company"), issued on the Company's behalf a letter to all Canadian Securities Regulatory Authorities, advising of the Company's upcoming Annual Meeting of Security Holders to be held on April 21, 2020.

A copy of this letter is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
