Extinguishment of Debt	Extinguishment of DebtThe Company used the initial $113.7 million of proceeds from the Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma Loan Agreement (see Note 5(A)) to repay all outstanding obligations with Hercules and NovaQuest and to satisfy certain other fees and expenses. The repayments resulted in a loss on extinguishment of debt of $4.9 million, which is included under the caption loss on extinguishment of debt in the accompanying unaudited condensed consolidated statements of operations for the three and nine months ended December 31, 2019. The loss on extinguishment of debt was calculated as the difference between the carrying amount of the debt and the amounts paid to retire the debt.

The entire disclosure for information about short-term and long-term debt arrangements, which includes amounts of borrowings under each line of credit, note payable, commercial paper issue, bonds indenture, debenture issue, own-share lending arrangements and any other contractual agreement to repay funds, and about the underlying arrangements, rationale for a classification as long-term, including repayment terms, interest rates, collateral provided, restrictions on use of assets and activities, whether or not in compliance with debt covenants, and other matters important to users of the financial statements, such as the effects of refinancing and noncompliance with debt covenants.
