Income Taxes	NOTE 7. INCOME TAXES Our effective tax rates for the three and six months ended June 30, 2017, were 26.3% and 26.4%, respectively, as compared to 25.2% and 27.7% for the three and six months ended July 1, 2016, respectively. Our effective tax rates for 2017 and 2016 differ from the U.S. federal statutory rate of 35% due principally to our earnings outside the United States that are indefinitely reinvested and taxed at rates lower than the U.S. federal statutory rate and the impact of credits and deductions provided by law.
