DEFINED CONTRIBUTION PLAN	NOTE 13 – DEFINED CONTRIBUTION PLAN The Company sponsors the Daseke, Inc. 401(k) Retirement Plan (the Retirement Plan). The Retirement Plan is a defined contribution plan and intended to qualify under the Internal Revenue Code provisions of Section 401(k). Under the safe harbor matching requirements, the Company made contributions to the Retirement Plan of $1.2 million and $1.4 million for the three months ended June 30, 2020 and 2019, respectively, and $2.6 million and $2.8 million for the six months ended June 30, 2020 and 2019, respectively.

The entire disclosure for an entity's employee compensation and benefit plans, including, but not limited to, postemployment and postretirement benefit plans, defined benefit pension plans, defined contribution plans, non-qualified and supplemental benefit plans, deferred compensation, share-based compensation, life insurance, severance, health care, unemployment and other benefit plans.
