Dividends
On July 5, 2017, RBI paid a cash dividend of $0.98 per Preferred Share, for a total dividend of $67.5 million, to the holder of the Preferred Shares. The dividend on the Preferred Shares included the amount due for the second calendar quarter of 2017. Partnership made a distribution to RBI as holder of the Partnership preferred units in an equal amount on the same date. On July 6, 2017, RBI paid a cash dividend of $0.19 per RBI common share to common shareholders of record on May 15, 2017. Partnership made a distribution to RBI as holder of Class A common units in the amount of the aggregate dividends declared and paid by RBI on RBI common shares and also made a distribution in respect of each Partnership exchangeable unit in the amount of $0.19 per exchangeable unit to holders of record on May 15, 2017.
On August 1, 2017, the RBI board of directors declared a cash dividend of $0.98 per Preferred Share, for a total dividend of $67.5 million which will be paid to the holder of the Preferred Shares on October 2, 2017. The dividend on the Preferred Shares includes the amount due for the third calendar quarter of 2017. Partnership will make a distribution to RBI as holder of the Partnership preferred units in an equal amount on the same date. On August 2, 2017, the RBI board of directors declared a cash dividend of $0.20 per RBI common share, which will be paid on October 3, 2017 to RBI common shareholders of record on September 15, 2017. Partnership will make a distribution to RBI as holder of Class A common units in the amount of the aggregate dividends declared and paid by RBI on RBI common shares. Partnership will also make a distribution in respect of each Partnership exchangeable unit in the amount of $0.20 per Partnership exchangeable unit, and the record date and payment date for such distribution will be the same as the record date and payment date for the cash dividend per RBI common share set forth above.
