11.Related-Party Transactions

The Company participates in, and has an equity method investment in, a purchasing alliance that was formed to obtain better pricing, to expand product options, to reduce internal costs, and to achieve greater inventory turnover. The Company’s investment in the purchasing alliance was $9.8 million as of December 31, 2022 and $8.7 million as of July 2, 2022. For the three-month periods ended December 31, 2022 and January 1, 2022, the Company recorded purchases of $467.1 million and $435.1 million, respectively, through the purchasing alliance. For the six-month periods ended December 31, 2022 and January 1, 2022, the Company recorded purchases of $965.6 million and $900.8 million, respectively, through the purchasing alliance.
