Goodwill and Intangible Assets	GOODWILL AND INTANGIBLE ASSETS As of both March 29, 2019 and December 31, 2018 the carrying amount of goodwill was $233.6 million. There was no related activity during the first quarter of 2019. As of March 29, 2019 and December 31, 2018, the carrying amount of the amortizable intangible assets was $14.6 million and $8.6 million, respectively. The increase of $6.0 million during the first quarter of 2019 was related to $6.5 million of new intangible assets offset by approximately $0.6 million of intangible amortization expense. Intangible amortization expense was $0.4 million during the first quarter of 2018. Amortizing intangible assets, which carry a remaining average life of approximately six years, are principally composed of customer contracts, related backlogs and re-competes.
