EXPLANATORY NOTE

On January 22, 2019, MediWound Ltd. (the “Company”) issued a press release entitled “MediWound Announces Positive Top-Line Results from Its Pivotal Phase 3 Study (DETECT) in NexoBrid^® for Eschar Removal of Severe Thermal Burns”.
