Background	(1) Background TELA Bio, Inc. (the “Company”) was incorporated in the state of Delaware on April 17, 2012 and wholly owns TELA Bio Limited, a company incorporated in the United Kingdom. The Company is focused on the commercialization and sale of OviTex Reinforced Tissue Matrix (“OviTex”), which utilizes surgical reconstruction medical device technology licensed from a strategic partner, Aroa Biosurgery Ltd. (“Aroa”), as described in Note 11, and on the research and development of additional medical devices with Aroa and on other internally developed technologies. In April 2019, the Company received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) for OviTex PRS Reinforced Tissue Matrix (“OviTex PRS”), which addresses unmet needs in plastic reconstruction surgery. The Company’s principal corporate office and research facility is located in Malvern, Pennsylvania.
