Attached as Exhibit 99.1 is a copy of a press release of Tronox Holdings plc (“Tronox” or the “Company”), dated January 4, 2021, announcing that today the Company received a decision from the British Competition and Markets Authority indicating that it intends to open a Phase 2 investigation into Tronox’s proposed acquisition of the TiZir Titanium and Iron business from Eramet S.A., as previously announced on May 14, 2020.
