HomeStreet, Inc. and FirstSun Capital Bancorp Merger Informa�on – INTERNAL USE ONLY 4/3/24 HomeStreet Bank Employee Q&A - INTERNAL USE ONLY Will career search services be provided to termina�ng employees? HomeStreet employees who are no�fied their posi�ons are being eliminated and who stay through their termina�on date, in exchange for signing a severance and release agreement, will receive severance payment along with outplacement services to help them with their career transi�on. Will accrued sick & safe �me balances be transferred to Sunflower Bank for con�nuing employees? Yes, a separate bank will be maintained un�l that balance is depleted through use. Will accrued vaca�on balances be transferred to Sunflower Bank for con�nuing employees? Yes, a separate bank will be maintained un�l that balance is depleted through use. This separate bank of vaca�on hours will be required to be drawn down prior to use of Sunflower Bank’s PTO program. Employees whose employment does not con�nue to Sunflower Bank will be paid out for any accrued vaca�on. Employees who transi�on temporarily to Sunflower Bank will have a pool of vaca�on hours to draw down. Any accrued and unused vaca�on hours would be paid out to any employee who terminates from Sunflower Bank with a posi�ve balance. How much no�ce will we receive if our posi�ons are planned to be eliminated? HomeStreet and Sunflower are commited to providing as much advance no�ce as we can. We don’t an�cipate no�fying anyone at the last minute, and in most cases the goal is to give up to 30 days advance no�ce. Does HomeStreet plan to offer a severance package if an employee’s posi�on is eliminated? If a HomeStreet employee’s posi�on is eliminated, a severance package will be offered. Severance offered from HomeStreet will be calculated 1 week of base pay for every full year of service, minimum of 2 weeks, maximum of 24 weeks. Outplacement services will also be offered as part of the HomeStreet severance package. Any severance is condi�oned upon signing a separa�on and release agreement. A small percentage of more senior employees have a contractual agreement that outlines different severance terms.
