Organization and Description of Business	Organization and Description of Business OptiNose, Inc. (the Company) was incorporated in Delaware in May 2010 (inception) and has facilities in Yardley, Pennsylvania, Ewing, New Jersey, Oslo, Norway and Swindon, England. The Company's predecessor entity, OptiNose AS, was formed under the laws of Norway in September 2000. In 2010, OptiNose AS became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company as part of an internal reorganization. The Company is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of products for patients treated by ear, nose and throat (ENT) and allergy specialists. The Company's first two products approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) utilize its proprietary Exhalation Delivery Systems (EDS), which are capable of deep intranasal deposition of medication. OptiNose developed its first product, Onzetra^® Xsail^® (sumatriptan nasal powder) through the completion of Phase III clinical trials and subsequently out-licensed the product to Avanir Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Avanir). Onzetra Xsail received FDA approval and was launched in the United States (US) in 2016. The Company's second FDA-approved product, XHANCE^® (fluticasone propionate) nasal spray, 93 mcg, is a therapeutic that utilizes the Company's EDS to deliver a topically-acting corticosteroid for the treatment of nasal polyps in patients 18 years of age or older. XHANCE was launched commercially in the United States in March 2018. XHANCE is also currently in development for the treatment of chronic sinusitis.
