Note 7. Related Party Transactions

During the year ended September 30, 2024, the Company entered into a related party transaction with NVTN LLC whereby the $11.9 million of equity of Maritime Wireless Holdings LLC was transferred to NVTN LLC.

The Company has entered into contracts with its affiliated portfolio companies, The National Security Group (and certain of its affiliates) and ECC Capital Corporation, pursuant to which the Company (and/or certain of its subsidiaries) provide such affiliated portfolio companies certain services, including managing a portion of their investment assets. During the year ended September 30, 2025, the Company recognized $0.7 million of income related to these contracts.

Due from/to Affiliates

Due from affiliates at September 30, 2025 and September 30, 2024 consists of certain legal and general and administrative expenses paid by the Company on behalf of certain of its affiliates. Due to affiliates at September 30, 2025 and September 30, 2024 consists of certain expenses payable by the Company to certain of its affiliates.
