Short-Term Investments	5. Short-Term Investments Short-term investments consist of equity securities. The Company holds its securities at fair value as of September 30, 2023 and December 31, 2022. Unrealized gains and losses on securities are reported in the other expense line item in the statements of operations and comprehensive loss. Short-term investments at September 30, 2023 and December 31, 2022 consisted of mutual funds with fair values of $4.2 million and $35.8 million, respectively.
