Reclassifications
Certain prior quarter amounts have been reclassified to conform to the current quarter presentation, specifically the amortization of the basis difference related to our unconsolidated joint venture of $3.2 million and $6.5 million, respectively, for the three and six months ended June 30, 2014, which have been reflected as a component of income (loss) from unconsolidated joint venture instead of depreciation and amortization in the accompanying consolidated statements of operations and comprehensive loss. See Note 4 — Investment in Unconsolidated Joint Venture.

In May 2014, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (“FASB”) issued revised guidance relating to revenue recognition. Under the revised guidance, an entity is required to recognize revenue when it transfers promised goods or services to customers in an amount that reflects the consideration to which the entity expects to be entitled in exchange for those goods or services. The revised guidance was to become effective for fiscal years, and interim periods within those fiscal years, beginning after December 15, 2016. Early adoption was not permitted under GAAP. The revised guidance allows entities to apply the full retrospective or modified retrospective transition method upon adoption. In July 2015, the FASB deferred the effective date of the revised guidance by one year to annual reporting periods beginning after December 15, 2017, although entities will be allowed to early adopt the guidance as of the original effective date. The Company has not yet selected a transition method and is currently evaluating the impact of the new guidance.
In January 2015, the FASB issued updated guidance that eliminates from GAAP the concept of an event or transaction that is unusual in nature and occurs infrequently being treated as an extraordinary item. The revised guidance is effective for fiscal years, and for interim periods within those fiscal years, beginning after December 15, 2015. Any amendments may be applied either prospectively or retrospectively to all prior periods presented in the financial statements. Early adoption is permitted provided that the guidance is applied from the beginning of the fiscal year of adoption. The Company has opted to adopt this revised guidance early and has determined that there has been no impact to its financial position, results of operations and cash flows.
