9. COMMITMENTS AND CONTINGENCIES

Leases

The Company currently leases office space in Lawrence, MA under a month to month lease. Prior to this location, the Company leased office space in Newton MA under a lease that expired July 31, 2016. The Company has no further obligation under that lease. The Company recognized rent expense of $900 and $4,950 during the three months ended March 31, 2017 and 2016, respectively.

There are no future minimum lease payments under non-cancelable operating leases as of March 31, 2017.
